I started Grover Park Consulting with one simple idea:

Smaller businesses and organizations need the same business tools Fortune 500 companies use; they just need them in a more accessible, more affordable format.

Everyone needs tools to manage productivity, track personnel records, and control inventory. I began my own business career as an independent insurance agent, learning first-hand how to market products and services, manage employees, control expenses, and balance many competing demands on scarce time and resources.  Every successful small business owner performs those same functions day in and day out and they need the tools to do it.   I believe there is a place for cost-effective, easy-to-use business tools that fall somewhere between one-size-fits-all, off-the-shelf software packages and the multi-million dollar Information Management Systems built by corporate IT staffs. These tools, which I call "Smart Tools"  are custom built at reasonable cost for the small and medium sized businesses which are the backbone of our economy.

For a couple of years, I was a Senior Development Advisor on the staff at Advisicon, a Portland, Oregon based Project Management and Development company, whose clients include large corporations and government agencies as well as small businesses. Working for a Project Management organization exposed me to both the concepts and principals of good project management and to the tools used, specifically MS Project and MS Project Server.

I recently joined the staff at Data and Domains, back in the Puget Sound area which I now consider my second home. At Data and Domains, we specialize in Access and Access/SQL Server solutions for small and medium sized businesses.
